Danny Ritchey is a photographer based out of North County San Diego. He shoots a diverse range of subjects from landscapes, action sports and wild life, always adhering to the principles of leave no trace.

For as long as I can remember I have had a special connection to nature’s spirituality. Photography is my medium that connects people to nature. At a young age I left rural Nebraska, and joined the Navy, this allowed me to opportunity to experience and explore most of the United States and a good part of the world. Now with my family beside me, I continue to explore and photograph our country from coast to coast. In my photography journeys I always adhere to the 7 principles of leave no trace. Primary focusing on the following principles,  plan ahead and prepare, leave what you find, and most important to me, respect wildlife. One other that has deep meaning to me is, be considerate of others, being able to share the expenses and wonders of our land with fellow adventures is a special thing. Any opportunity I have I’ll stop and try to collaborate with other photographers, beginners or seasoned professionals. My hope is that my photos inspire others in the same way that nature has inspired me.

I feel blessed with so many beautiful and inspiring locations to photograph and the ability to share them with you.
